On Wednesday 25th February 2009 The Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) revolted at their head quarters in Dhaka against their commanders. Some of the atrocities carried out were murder, looting, and burning of dead bodies.
Latest figures suggest 56 Officers were killed including the wife of a retired Colonel and the wife of the BDR Chief , and six other Officers are still missing.
Muslim Community Representatives Camden & Islington would like to invite you to a special meeting to find out what took place, and to establish whether the revolt was over pay and conditions as some suggest, or whether other factors need to be taken into consideration regarding this event.
